Location: Albion, Nebraska
Duration: June 1, 2024 – February 28, 2025
Wage: $18.32 per hour, with potential discretionary, wellness, and beef bonuses. Standard benefits included.

Job Duties:

  • Animal Care:

    • Assist with daily care, feeding, and processing of swine to ensure their welfare and well-being.
    • Maintain barn upkeep to provide a clean and safe environment for the animals.
  • Transportation:

    • Drive trucks to transport swine within the farm, including moving them from the nursery to the finishing site and from the finishing site to harvest locations.
  • Biosecurity Compliance:

    • Adhere to all biosecurity protocols to prevent disease and contamination.
    • Provide input on areas that may be out of compliance to maintain high health standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 months working with swine or in a related agricultural setting.
  • Licensing:

Work Schedule:

  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Typical Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
  • Flexibility:
    • Workdays may begin or end earlier or later, depending on operational needs.
    • Potential for night and weekend shifts, particularly in departments like breeding, where Sunday work may be required to facilitate weekday farrowing.
