JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a Site Location Leader for a family-owned swine operation. As a family-owned and family-focused swine operation, great care goes into everything they do. From family members to team members, to even their pigs they believe in treating others with respect and as part of the family. This position will be responsible for the management of a lab, boar stud, and isolation barn.
This position will be engaged in managing all daily activities/processes related to semen production, in accordance with protocols and procedures established by the Company. The position will lead a Team of 8 people by recruiting, hiring, training, leading, planning, managing, coaching and mentoring. This will also include the administration of all personnel-related functions, such as performance reviews, attendance, vacation/sick leave, and disciplinary situations.
The Site Leader will establish and maintain open communication with all farm staff, production manager, veterinarians and the management team. This position will be responsible to monitor and maintain appropriate ventilation and room environments, as well as responsible for timely and accurate reporting of records. Finally, this position will ensure strict adherence to all established biosecurity principles.
Ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of pig experience.
