SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing and directing the overall operation of multiple grow finish sites within a specific geographic area. This includes leading and motivating finishing site managers and employees while overseeing the operation of the farms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be capable of regular and predictable attendance
• Able to work overtime as needed
• Able to work holidays as needed
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor the status of the farms and the employees
• Provide support, guidance, and feedback to all finishing site managers through daily communication
• Scheduling and communicating necessary pig flow and marketing information to all farms
• Set and communicate production and financial targets to all farms and employees
• Ensuring the health and well-being of all animals in terms of nutrition, medication, and environment
• Develop and monitor adherence to all standard operating procedures and training regimens
• Develop and communicate all biosecurity rules and practices
• Communicate regularly with upper management and/or farm owners
• Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least one year of finishing site management
• Organizational, leadership, production problem solving, and communication skills
• Dedicated, goal oriented, motivated, and able to work independently, as well as effectively lead a team
• Maintain certification and follow all PQA Guidelines in the Humane Handling of Livestock
