The Opportunity
We are seeking a dependable Gestation Lead to manage daily operations in the gestation barns. This is a hands-on, people-focused role that will ensure employees follow proper breeding and animal care practices while maintaining a healthy, productive sow herd. The Gestation Lead will provide leadership, monitor sow health, and keep accurate records to support the farms production goals.
What Youll Do
- Oversee daily operations in the gestation barns.
- Lead, train, and support team members working with bred sows.
- Assist with breeding tasks, pregnancy checks, and animal movement.
- Monitor sow health, body condition, and behavior, addressing concerns promptly.
- Maintain strict biosecurity and safety standards.
- Track breeding schedules, pregnancy rates, and herd performance.
- Keep accurate records of sow care, treatments, and production data.
- Work alongside the team on daily chores while providing guidance and oversight.

- Physically able to work in a barn environment and perform hands-on tasks.
